United Society for the Propagation of the Gospel (USPG) assists
partner churches in all aspects of their ministry of healing, with
emphasis on encouraging community health and primary health care
projects. Occasionally opportunities arise for nurses and midwives
with a tutorial qualification to support the education of nurses
and midwives who work in a local church's health care project. They
are usually sent out under the Society's Missionary Programme.
The terms and length of service for such personnel are negotiated
with the Society and the local church and the contract may be from
six months to three years or more.
Applicants would be expected to undergo a selection procedure including
a medical.
