Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust is a two-star Trust, which formed in April 2001.
This followed the merger of Calderdale Healthcare NHS Trust and the Huddersfield Healthcare Services NHS Trust.
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust provides 24-hour acute healthcare services to more than 420,000 people, with some of their services provided to a much wider population.
They have about 5,300 staff and an operating budget of just over £200 million, mainly provided by Primary Care Trusts, who commission thier services.
They also manage a number of shared services, including the Health Informatics Service, which operate across the whole Calderdale and Huddersfield health family, including the Primary Care Trusts and Mental Health Trusts.
They have three hospitals:
- Calderdale Royal Hospital, Halifax
- Huddersfield Royal Infirmary
- St Luke's Hospital, Huddersfield
