We provide a range of inpatient, outpatient, community and day hospital services across Barnet, Enfield, Haringey and parts of South Hertfordshire. Our multi-disciplinary teams have specialist skills and care for children, adolescents, adults and older people. An increasing spectrum of services are being developed so that those people who need substance misuse treatment, assertive outreach, crisis resolution and other community services are supported specifically to their needs.
We provide more specialist services for a larger population who have been referred from local services:
* Forensic services for people with severe mental health problems who have entered the criminal justice system;
* Inpatient therapeutic support for children and adolescents;
* Eating disorder services;
* Brain injury rehabilitation services.
Our budget to deliver services is £150m. We employ over 2,500 staff with 4 out of 5 providing direct patient care. Our staff provide care to several thousand patients each year and we have 900 beds occupied at any one time. People are provided with care and treatment in hospitals, community mental health centres, clinics, local authority premises, prisons and their own homes - 80% of our work is in the community.
