RETURN TO PRACTICE - REGISTERED NURSES
Are you, or someone you know, a former qualified Nurse who would like to Return to Practice? Come back to care at the RD&E! We have exciting opportunities if you are a registered nurse who has had a break from nursing and your registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council is currently lapsed.
The RD&E’s Return To Nursing Practice programme supports nurses on their journey back onto the register and back to their nursing career. Through the provision of supportive tutors and mentors, Returners are guided through a learning experience that refreshes the necessary skills required for nursing today. The University course fees are fully funded and you will also receive a bursary of £1000 from the RDE, given in 2 payments to support travel, books and childcare during the programme. We will provide you with support and you will perform your clinical practice placements at our sites.
Your study days will be at Plymouth University. When you successfully complete your programme you will be able to take up a suitable substantive Band 5 registered nurse role at the RD&E, either in our Acute hospital setting or one of our Community ones. Please note that we currently cannot accept Paediatric only nurses.
Why wait? Apply now to join the January 2019 programme!
Interviews to be held in September 2018
Would you like to work whilst you are on the programme? You could work for us as a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant on a temporary contract until you complete the programme or you could do this work more flexibly as part of our Staff Bank.
