Neonatal Charge Nurse

AfC Band 6

Job overview

We, at Southampton Neonatal Unit, are looking to recruit registered nurses or midwives with a post-registration qualification in neonatal nursing to join our team as a Band 6 Sister/ Charge Nurse

Southampton Neonatal Unit cares for patients and their families across the South Coast region including the channel islands, providing intensive, high and special care ,as well as having a community outreach team. We host the regional transfer service, SONeT, ensuring that families receive care in the most appropriate hospital, closest to their home. We are able to offer a range of specialities to our patients here in Southampton, including neonatal surgery and cardiac services.

We feel passionate that families should feel involved in their baby’s care and work in partnership with them. This is reflected in the receipt of the ‘Improving Care Award’ from Bliss to our neonatal unit in 2016.
