Staff Nurse in General Outpatients running clinics in various disciplines (dermatology, cardiology, rheumatology, vascular, ENT, max fax, urology, gynaecology, fracture & orthopaedic, general surgery, colorectal, gastro, respiratory, breast, care of the elderly)
Also working in Minor Operation Theatres (dermatology, max fax & ENT) as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will need to have excellent communication skills with an ability to provide clinically effective care within the General Outpatient Department.
Running busy clinics and preparing rooms beforehand
Liaising with the multidisciplinary team
Caring for patients with dignity and respect
Organising patient notes maintaining confidentiality
Answering phone queries in a timely manner
Patient observations as needed
Ensuring all equipment is available and correct for every clinic
Ensuring emergency equipment is checked and maintained daily
