NHS AfC: Band 6

Job overview

We are looking for a confident and motivated Team Leader to join us on the Coronary Care Unit. We are a sixteen bedded unit on the Bedford Site.

You will need to be a good role model and provide supervision to nursing staff and students under the guidance of the Ward Manager.

You will be assessing care needs and developing/implementing/evaluating programmes of care for cardiac patients.

The role will involve assessing patients who attend Accident and Emergency with cardiac sounding chest pain (in the absence of the Outreach Nurse). Then transfer to Papworth for primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention when appropriate.

You will also require the relevant skills to confidently communicate with other members of the team including consultants, colleagues and other departments.

We look forward to meeting a new member of our team who holds the same nursing values as we do.
