Are you a level 2 qualified Nursery Assistant or level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse looking for a new role within an NHS Nursery who are part of an “Outstanding” rated Trust?

We're seeking Nursery Practitioners to join us in our NHS nurseries at our sites in Maidenhead, Slough & Reading.
Within all of our teams you will find hard-working professionals ranging from Nursery Trainees to Degree Level practitioners and we are looking for likeminded individuals who are passionate about providing a stimulating and friendly environment for the children in our care.
We offer full day care for 51 weeks per year, from 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday in which you will work on a rota basis for 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
- Encouraging all areas of the children's development within Early Years Foundation Stage
- Compiling and maintaining development records on children
- Providing a stimulating, friendly and caring environment at all times.
- Demonstrating good practice with regards to special needs and inclusion
- Encourage parental interest and participation in the life of the nursery.
- Building relationships with a small group of children and their families.

- NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualified in childcare or equivalent
- Previous relevant work in childcare
- A knowledge of safeguarding children and child protection

Education/Qualifications/Training
Essential criteria
- NVQ 3 in childcare or equivalent qualification in line with those listed on the ‘qualification finder’ section of www.education.gov.uk
- An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Continuous Professional Development
Essential criteria
- As stated in the EYFS, a good standard of written and spoken English. Also able to read and understand English such as to follow instructions or interpret a policy
- A knowledge of safeguarding children and child protection and appropriate protocol
Desirable criteria
- Paediatric First Aid Certificate
- Food Hygiene Certificate
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of any work which demonstrates the skills required for the post
- Experience of team work
- Previous relevant work in childcare
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
- Good communication skills
- An understanding of the role of the Key Person
- Knowledge of inclusive practice
Additional Requirements
Essential criteria
- Flexible approach to hours which includes a willingness to attend meetings, training and nursery events as appropriate
