We have exciting opportunities available to join our Emergency Department at Russells Hall Hospital as a band 6 Sister/Charge Nurses on a permanent contract.
The successful applicant will be working in a Multidisciplinary Team within the Emergency Department, ensuring patients admitted to the Unit receive a high standard of care, whilst continuing to achieve both National & Local Targets.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the management of the Emergency Department Patients and Areas during a shift, including the organisation of the Department activities and the management of staff and resources. A main focus of the role will be to assist the Nurse in Charge in achieving quality patient care and effective flow through of patients within the department, the monitoring of this throughput and the implementation of the agreed Escalation Policy as necessary. The post holder will support the Lead Nurses and Matron in developing and monitoring services and the quality of care experienced by patients.

- Evidence of professional development and regular study since qualification.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
