Job overview

This post is part of a new initiative within substance misuse and part of new OHID money, the post holder will be working closely within primary care settings  and will be offering assessments and referrals  to services that are identified by clients needs. |The post holder will also be offering brief interventions within primary care and training GPS and other professionals within that setting around alcohol consumption, safe drinking levels and referral pathways into Recovery Near you

Main duties of the job

To facilitate service users to enter and move through integrated recovery based services and enhance opportunities for service users to achieve identified goals and sustained The post holder will provide case management to a designated caseload of service users ensuring that a comprehensive assessment is completed. Based on assessment the focus of the role will be to provide recovery based interventions to enhance service user recovery and service experience. The post holder will engage service users in health promotion and provide low intensity psychosocial interventions as appropriate to service user need.

  • registered nurse NMC registered
  • 12 months substance misuse experince
  • currently living in the UK
Desirable criteria
  • experience in completing comprehensive assessments
  • good understanding of recovery module within addictions
  • experince completing community alcohol detoxifications
