Job overview

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Nursing teams based at Bronglais General Hospital, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion

Opportunities are available in the following areas: -

Emergency and Urgent Care Centre - Treats adults and children, within the Accident and Emergency area, Clinical Decisions Unit area for assessment of adult patients and Minors Injury Unit that treats both adults and children

Dyfi Ward - specialising in general medical patients. Ward with cardiac care – with 5 beds for Acute cardiac patients and further monitoring beds

Ystwyth Ward – Stroke and frailty ward with 4 bed Hyper Acute Stroke Unit

Rhiannon Ward – elective surgical / orthopaedic ward with 3 bed High dependency area

Ceredig Ward – emergency surgical / orthopaedic ward

Y Banwy Ward / annex - respiratory ward / Infection prevention

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Current NMC registration

  • Degree in Nursing
  • Evidence of post registration study and training e.g. POVA
  • Evidence of post registration study and training e.g. Child Protection
  • Evidence of post registration study and training e.g., Intermediate Life support if required in a clinical setting

Experience
