An exciting opportunity has arisen for committed and enthusiastic full time/ part time Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to work as part of the Carmarthenshire Community Nursing Service, based in the Acute Response Team. The Acute Response Team delivers both an Intravenous Antibiotic at home service and also functions as the Out of Hour's Community Nursing service.

The post-holder will be responsible for providing acute nursing interventions to patients within the community setting, thereby reducing the need for hospital admissions. The post offers the opportunity to develop your skills and experience whilst making a difference to patient care.

The post-holder will need to demonstrate that they have good communication skills and it is essential that you possess the skills to work as part of a team. The post holder must have the confidence and personality to work autonomously, which is needed to undertake a lone worker role in the community .You must have the enthusiasm to take on the challenges of a changing, modern day community nursing service.

As a Band 6 Registered Nurse you will gain experience in caseload profiling and management of the Acute Response Team.

Good IT skills and a driving licence as required to drive Health Board vehicles are essential to the role.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
