FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 6 months - Health Care Assistant

Are you committed to providing outstanding patient care?

We have an opportunity for a caring, compassionate Health Care Assistant based on Byron Unit at Hollins Park Hospital.

If you would like to support us in providing outstanding care, we are keen to hear from you. North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides treatment, support and guidance for a wide range of health issues, including physical, mental health and learning disability services.

The Byron Unit is an assessment and treatment specialist service which provides care for service users with mental illnesses, who also have a diagnosis of a learning disability.

The role of a Health Care Assistant is vital to ensure we deliver safe, high quality care to our service users. As a must have you will be:

• Passionate about delivering high levels of care and supporting people with a range of mental health illnesses

• An effective communicator and listener

• Flexible in terms of delivering care within a variety of environments

• Able to work as part of a team

• Able to use your own initiative and work independently, under the supervision of a qualified practitioner

• Have good numeracy and writing skills

Whilst knowledge of working with people who are experiencing mental health problems is not essential, it would be desirable. Previous knowledge of using computers would be helpful, but training will be supplied. We are keen to receive applications from skilled Health Care Assistants but most importantly we are looking for considerate, supportive individuals who listen and care.
