Interested in Gastroenterology and Haematology? Want to develop yourself and help support others?

An exciting opportunity to work on our busy 22 bedded ward exists for  2 band 6 sisters and we are looking for staff that  are open to new opportunities and ways of working.

Both specialities are varied and interesting.  Conditions that we treat include:-,cancers, inflammatory bowel disease, enteral and parenteral feeding, alcoholic liver disease and many more and with that we are looking at offering this post as an initial rotation.

The ward currently has had a lot of changes and the successfully candidate will need to continue to support these to embed them further with the existing management team on the ward.

You will be expected to work internal rotation of shifts and to not only support staff but help develop them further.

An induction programme, preceptor & education will be provided to support you as well as a learning package to develop your own management skills.

Study days are offered when you join the team & as part of your ongoing professional development.


The rotation will include 6 months on the ward, 6 months in endoscopy and depending on experience 6 months on another ward environment for more management and leadership skills.  (this is a substantive post if the rotation is successfully completed)


Would be preferably someone with demonstrable leadership skills and experience at this level previously.
