The Conquest Hospital in Hastings and our Community Services were rated ‘Outstanding’ and Eastbourne DGH was rated ‘Good’ Our two acute hospitals have Emergency Departments and provide 24 hour a day care, offering a comprehensive range of surgical, medical, outpatient and maternity services, supported by a full range of diagnostic and therapy services. 


In the summer of 2020, the Trust launched its ambitious ‘Building for our Future’ (BFF) programme. This once in a lifetime programme aims to redevelop and expand our hospitals at Eastbourne, Hastings and Bexhill, transforming the environment in which we provide care for generations to come. 

Job overview

Acute and Community 

Flexible shifts (usually 12 hours) Band 5 -  £17.69 per hour + WTD.

We are looking for experienced and motivated individuals to work in our large, quality team of Registered Bank Nurses in both our acute hospitals and  in our community nursing services, both district Nursing, and Crisis response. 

We have a key role in maintaining staffing levels throughout the Trust, and fill as many as 500 Registered Nurse shifts each week.

You will need to be familiar with the full range of general nursing duties, committed to delivering high quality care. Therefore applicants must have a minimum of 16 weeks NHS (or similar) recent experience as a qualified registered nurse.

Please note that pay is weekly or monthly for Bank staff

We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses
