Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Urology Department in a newly created post to support the development of the urology oncology services at Eastbourne District General Hospital.

The post will be responsible for acting as Surgical Assistant to the robotic theatre team for a range of complex robotically assisted surgical procedures.

 

Main duties of the job

The role will be to assess, plan, implement and evaluate expert nursing care and provide support to urology patients.

You will be expected to have completed/working towards the Surgical Practice 1 and 2 qualifications as directed by the Royal College of Surgeons.   An educational supervisor will be provided to support and direct ongoing learning and competencies.
