Job overview

We are looking for enthusiastic Health Care Assistants to join the Highfield Residential Unit.

The main role will be to assist the Care leaders & Deputy Managers of the Residential Rehabilitation Unit and Intermediate Care qualified nurses to deliver the prescribed care as indicated in the patient’s care plan.

Main duties of the job

To work alongside a team of health care professionals to ensure delivery of high-quality person-centered care by promoting best practice within the Intermediate Care Team.

To assist the Care leaders & Deputy Managers of the Residential Rehabilitation unit in maintaining efficient and effective day to day operation of the unit.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent level of experience in Health and Social Care
  • Hold Care Certificate or willingness to complete within induction period

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of working in a health care environment
Desirable criteria
  • Good understanding of basic IT skills

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Recent experience of working with patients in a healthcare, homecare or care home setting
  • Experience of prioritising own workload
