An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly skilled and experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to lead and develop the new ACP service within Emergency Medicine at the Lister.
The post holder will be responsible for developing and leading advanced practice across the ED and the AMUA area within the Trust including responsibility for standards and liaison with the Divisional Head of Organisational Development, the University and other providers to develop options for ensuring staff development opportunities are in place to support advancing practice.
Working with others, the Lead ACP will have the authority and freedom to steer the research, audit and development agenda relating to adults within the department. The post holder will practice clinically at least 30% of their time. Individual practice will involve managing the most complex of patients, helping reduce admissions, seeing, treating and discharging, managing own caseload, having clinical oversight for all areas of the Emergency Care pathway. The post holder is expected to work clinical shifts.
The main bulk of the workload will however focus on structuring and developing the ACP programme for trainees and for established ACPs within the Trust. The Lead ACP will actively seek to engage with partners across the STP to develop the programme encompassing all the Acute Trusts to share knowledge, pathways and good practice.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
