It's an exciting time to work within adult eating disorders as there is significant development and transformation!
We seek a Service Manager with a qualification in one of the core professions within mental health services and a strong desire to work within adult eating disorders services.
The Service Manager will work closely with the other Service Manager and the service line lead or SBU Managing Director, and the Lead Psychological Therapist and Consultant Psychiatrists, to ensure the effective co-ordination, operational delivery, continuous development, and excellence of provision of Adult Eating Disorder services and the OCD Highly Specialist Service within the Trust.

Main duties of the job
You will work together with and manage our established multi-disciplinary team to ensure delivery of excellent care and treatment for adults with moderate to severe eating disorders and their families.
You will be working alongside and closely with senior staff within the Trust, the other Service Manager and with the Consultant Psychiatrist and the Lead Psychological Therapist in managing the service and will lead the team of psychiatrists, dietitians, administrators, support workers, nurses, psychologists and psychotherapists. Provide leadership to professionals of all disciplines
Ensure the Operational function of the services is of high quality
Provide management supervision for senior staff and ensure all staff receive management supervision

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- First degree or equivalent and professional qualification in a relevant area of health or social care
- Evidence of continuous professional and management development showing a combination of short courses, structured self-study or formal management courses.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- Significant management experience within the NHS or equivalent service provider
- Experience of engaging service users/ carers in service planning/improvement.
- Knowledge of National policy and standards of governance particularly for Adult Eating Disorders
- Experience of planning and implementing service change.
- Experience of working with clinicians and multi professional teams in delivering quality services
- Evidence of achieving targets and objectives within a challenging environment.
- Able to organise own workload and that of the team to meet objectives and operate effectively.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of and experience in OCD services
