An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Staff Nurse on John Day Ward specialising in Respiratory care. We are looking for a strong dynamic applicant to join the team.
You will receive support in your new role and will be encouraged in further development. We offer a supportive, exciting and challenging work environment and we are committed to the training and development of our staff. We are currently offering John Day Foundations of Respiratory course which includes various aspects of Respiratory care including Non Invasive Ventilation, Tracheostomy care, Optiflow and etc. You will be fully supported by the ward and Practice Development Nurse in achieving all the required competency.
This post requires motivation, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills and demonstration of evidence based clinical practice and open to further academic development. You must be flexible, approachable, compassionate, motivated, hard working and be able to use your own initiative whilst also having the ability to work under pressure.
This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week but happy to discuss part time hours as well. We welcome interested individuals to contact us to arrange an informal visit to the ward.
You will be expected to attend the Trust’s Induction Programme for RNs, RMs and ODPs (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time (please contact the programme lead if this is problematic: email@example.com), lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area and classroom-based study days which run from 9am to 5pm.
