An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Integrated Safeguarding Team in the Trust for a Named Nurse for Safeguarding Adults. We are looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated, innovative and efficient registered nurse with expert skills and knowledge in safeguarding to join 

With the Head of Integrated Safeguarding, the post holder will lead and inspire the integrated safeguarding team and drive delivery of the safeguarding agenda. 

The post holder will work to strengthen the safeguarding leadership and motivate colleagues within the Trust to promote effective safeguarding practice and culture, positively promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk and ensure that it is recognised that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and our everyday business. 

This role will be to undertake the daily operational management of the team (adult), undertake statutory duties as a Named Nurse, act as a role model of exemplary practice to team members and deputise when required for the Head of Integrated Safeguarding.

As part of our corporate nursing service, the Named Nurse for Safeguarding Adults will work closely with the Head of of Integrated Safeguarding and the Named Doctor for Safeguarding Adults. They will be an effective leader, who will be responsible for embedding a think-family culture, by delivering and monitoring safeguarding adult arrangements to ensure safeguarding is our everyday business.

Main duties of the job

The Named Nurse for Adult Safeguarding is responsible for taking the lead for safeguarding adults at risk of abuse and / or neglect, and the promotion of their welfare across the Trust and our partner organisations. This post provides operational and strategic leadership and is a source of expertise for all staff across the Trust.
