Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate, caring and experienced neonatal nurse to join our neonatal team at Bolton. 

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and proactive registered neonatal nurses to provide care and support to babies requiring all levels of neonatal care and their families. 

We are looking to appoint nurses ideally with leadership experience, though not essential as full support and training will be provided for senior band 5 nurses who are able to demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfil this role.

Main duties of the job

The aim of this post is to utilise and further develop specialist skills in order to provide the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised care. 

To participate and contribute to the management of the neonatal team.

To communicate effectively with the infant's family / caregivers, the wider MDT and pertinent agencies inside and outside of the organisation.

The applicant will need experience in neonates, be up to date with present research within the speciality and offer a positive attitude, commitment and determination to provide a high standard of care.

The successful applicants will be expected to work internal rotational shifts covering both days, nights and some weekends.

  • NMC standards training - working towards achieving practice assessor under the new NMC standards.
