Out of Hours Community Staff Nurse

We are looking for Registered General Nurses to work in an innovative and dynamic District Nursing team based at Buckshaw Village Health Centre
As part of LSCFT you will be supported to professionally develop and encouraged to continuously learn whilst considering new ways of working. You will be part of leading a team who are patient focused with excellence at its core!
Main duties of the job
As a Registered Nurse (General/Adult), you will have at least 12 months post registration experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will have experience of carrying out a diverse range of clinical interventions and care including holistic assessment of needs, wound care, palliative and end of life care.
As a valued member of the team, you will provide holistic, high quality, clinically effective care to patients in their place or residence, working under the guidance and support of the Team Leader.
The hours of working are 2130-0800 over a seven day period.
Applicants will need to demonstrate their competency and experience in line with the person specification and will be required to work flexibly across a seven day rota.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- First level registered nurse
- Diploma in health related area or equivalent experience
- Completion of Band 5 preceptorship programme (evidence may be required from RNs who have been registered for less than 2 years or with gaps)
Knowledge / Skills
Essential criteria
- Understanding of NMC standards and implications for practice
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
- Ability to problem solve and make clinical decisions
- High clinical standards
Personal
Essential criteria
- Flexible working – including ability to work as part of 24-hour district nursing service
- Ability to comply with travel requirements of the post
