The King's Staff Bank offers flexible working patterns which support you and the Trust, and can also provide regular lines of work at the PRUH and Bromley sites for those with regular availability and previous NHS nursing background.

The post holder will deliver high quality safe nursing care, ensuring consistently high standards of practice and clinical excellence which comply with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of professional conduct.

The role includes leading the delivery of comprehensive service user assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person-centered care in a collaborative way. The post holder will co-ordinate a first class service that includes assessment and monitoring of physical health, maintaining service users rights, working collaboratively with the Multi-Disciplinary Team and maintaining a safe and therapeutic working environment and accurate records. Band 6 nursing roles are only open only to staff with a nursing registration, obtained as a result of completing a qualification recognised by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

To provide expert, holistic care of a high standard to both the patients receiving chemotherapy and their relatives within the King's College Hospital.

Confidently manage caseload and be responsible for safe chemotherapy delivery in accordance with national and the trust guidance on the delivery of Systematic Anticancer Therapy (SACT) for both cancer and non-cancer indications across the trust.

Manage and safely administer SACT for patients undergoing clinical trial.

To take direct managerial responsibility for the clinical area in the absence of or as delegated by the Unit Manager/ Nurse in Charge/ Head of Department.

To assist in the leadership and development of an identified group of nurses within the unit complement.

To act as a clinical resource within the unit and across the Care Group as necessary.

To act as a positive role model to junior staff members. Particular emphasis put at Kings is the need to ensure that all staff recognizes their responsibility to deliver services in a high quality, courteous, patient focused manner and to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
