CLCH Community Planned Care Services are currently seeking a motivated registered nursing associate (band 4) to join our community based service in West locality of Barnet.

If so, an exciting new opportunity is available for a registered nursing associate (Band 4) to join our Planned Integrated Care Service.

Main duties of the job

Barnet Planned service provide community Nursing services to Barnet CCG and is split into three locality teams. This post will be located in the West of the Barnet localities. The post holder will work closely with the registered nurses, senior nurses and team leads to develop the service and maintain close working relationships with both acute and community services.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • You need to be compassionate person, able to show empathy for patients and their carers.
  • You will need to be punctual, pro-active, have a flexible approach to work and be able to deliver high quality of nursing care in the community setting.
  • Essential: It is essential to have a current clean driving licence (less than 6 points) and have access to your own car. You need to be able to use a map and SAT NAV to navigate to patient’s homes.  Please confirm in the supporting information that you have a car and clean driving licence.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nursing Associate with current UK NMC registration
  • Educated to a minimum level 5 Foundation degree level specific to nursing associate practice
  • GCSEs Grade 9 - 4 in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Care Certificate

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of working within a health / care setting in the field of area applied for
  • Relevant experience of working self-directed or as part of a team.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

Skills and Knowledge

  • Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the team and the organisation, and how the role contributes to service development
  • Relevant clinical skills in the area of work
  • Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within the Code.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal, non- verbal communication) with patients/relatives, carers and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to develop effective and appropriate relationships with people, their families, carers and colleagues
  • Ability to deal with non-routine and unpredictable nature of workload and individual patient contact
  • Insight into how to evaluate own strengths and development needs, seeking advice when needed
