Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse to join our Cardiac Health and Rehabilitation Service.
The post holder will be responsible for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Services across Ealing Community Cardiology as part of the Imperial Healthcare Cardiovascular Health Services. The Service provides care to cardiac patients who have been discharged from hospital including patients with cardiac disease, heart failure as well as those with ICDs.
Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust, the UK’s first academic health sciences centre, provides an internationally renowned tertiary cardiology and cardiothoracic clinical service and has a strong track record in both clinical and basic sciences research. For this challenging and fulfilling post we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual, with staff management experience, with a sound knowledge and understanding of the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease
You will be a Registered Nurse with a wealth of experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation and/or Cardiology at a senior level. You will be responsible for managing the multidisciplinary team as well as managing own caseload of cardiac patients. You will be championing and delivering the BACPR Core Components and Standards. You will be self-motivated and possess good organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
You will act as a resource to other professionals on cardiovascular disease and associated treatments and issues, representing Imperial Cardiac Rehab services on local and national issues. You will be taking part in ongoing audit and research activities to maintain quality care provision. You will need to be committed to sharing of good practice, development of robust professional networks and support of colleagues.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for managing the provision and developing the multidisciplinary Cardiovascular Health & Rehabilitation services across the acute Trust. The post holder will provide day to day operational organisation of the service and team management for Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurses, Exercise Specialists and Dietician.
