Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join our busy but friendly team in the Outpatients departments Northwick Park.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to work under pressure and who is happy to work as part of a team.
Our Outpatients department hosts a wide variety of outpatient clinics covering Breast, Orthopaedic, General Surgery, Medicine, Cardiology, Gynaecology, Ear Nose and Throat as well as Oral surgery and Fracture clinics. In addition we provide a phlebotomy service to both hospital patients and GP referral patients.
The successful candidate will be required to work between the various departments as required, deputising in the absence of the department sister and must be proactive with an interest in providing excellent care to all of our service users.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the unit in the absence of the Clinical Sister.
Ensure that all patients are provided with a high standard of nursing care.
To supervise and assist clinically in the main Outpatients Departments as required.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
In the absence of the Clinical Sister, deploy staff with appropriate skill
supervise the care given.
To give advice and support to patients before, during and after their
procedures.
To be aware of the policies and philosophies of London North West Healthcare NHS Trust and ensure that all actions are carried out within these guidelines.
To assist senior colleagues in maintaining a safe environment for staff, patients and relatives.
To ensure the smooth running of all Outpatient clinics
