Job overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Clinical Research Nurse to support the Respiratory research department at the Royal Free Hospital.

The post is a fixed term contract for 12 months with a possibility to extend  beyond this date.

The respiratory research department has an expanding portfolio consisting of a combination of NIHR portfolio adopted studies with academic and commercially sponsored research.

The successful candidate  will need to be adaptable, confident and enthusiastic, be able to prioritise a combination of diverse demands on your time, be able to work autonomously and with a clear expression of interest in the research process. You will ensure the research portfolio runs smoothly, efficiently and to time and target.

The successful candidate  is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. Experience of working in a research environment and working with Respiratory patients are desirable.

Education & professional Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Adult Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Completed/working towards degree in the speciality or related field
Desirable criteria
  • Completed/working towards teaching/Mentorship qualification

  • Significant post registration experience
  • Experience of formal/ informal teaching of patients and staff

  • Experience of phlebotomy and cannulation
  • IV drug administration certification
