Trosolwg o'r swydd
• The Centre for Parent and Child Support (CPCS) has a range of evidence-based programmes including Empowering Parents Empowering Communities, Family Partnership Model and Promotional Guides which are delivered locally to South London and Maudsley, disseminated nationally and internationally. CPCS is part of SlaM’s National and Specialist CAMHS provision.
• The role will be responsible for leading the ongoing direct delivery, dissemination and implementation of CPCS evidence-based programmes nationally and internationally.
• The role will interest innovative clinicians who are highly skilled and experienced at working within parenting, working in a peer delivery model, can engage with families and organisational structures who are aiming for the best outcomes for children.
• You will be a strong, compassionate and motivating leader and line-manager invested in work force development.
• You are required to take a leadership role in enabling staff, service users and carers from diverse backgrounds to flourish by working to create a psychologically safe environment.
• You will take a leadership role in the collection of routine outcomes, as well as the coordination of service evaluation, service development, intervention development and research.

• Leadership, coordination and systematic provision of a highly specialist parenting service to families both universally and targeted, workforce development training.
• Working to ensure work with national, international and local services is negotiated, agreed and fulfilled according to service level agreements, licenses and work plans with sufficient funding.
• Use understanding of complex and changing circumstances within social care, national health service and voluntary sector to support work of CPCS to remain accessible, appropriate and acceptable.
• Promote work of CPCS internally within the Trust, nationally and internationally, presenting at conferences, delivering training and through publications.
• Highly skilled in the clinical application of the Empowering Parents Empowering Communities, Family Partnership Model and Promotional Guides to families and organisations
• Confident and skilled in engaging with parents and working within a peer model.
• Ability to create a supportive, connected, facilitative, influential and purposeful partnerships with families, colleagues and multi-agencies.
• Coordination and development of specialist peer-led parenting group interventions
• Regular and reflective clinical supervision to colleagues

Maudsley Hospital (headquarters)
The Centre is based in the Michael Rutter Centre on the Maudsley Hospital site. Our Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2) and is within walking distance from the beautiful green spaces of Ruskin Park and the vibrant high-street that offers great shopping opportunities and with a wide range of restaurants. (Due to move to the Pears Maudsley Children and Young People (PMCYP) at the Maudsley Hospital in early 2026)

• To develop strategy for and lead, manage and plan the delivery of Centre for Parent and Child Support (CPCS) portfolio of programmes including Empowering Parents Empowering Communities (EPEC), Family Partnership Model (FPM) and Promotional Guides (PG) and personally provide expert clinical input in the field of parenting, workforce development, programme implementation and dissemination.
• To be responsible to relevant Professional Heads for the monitoring and implementation of professional, clinical standards, and governance in the service and for the systematic and effective provision of professional supervision to multi-disciplinary team, parent group leaders and consultation to national and international colleagues in CPCS licensed programmes
• To contribute to enabling other staff, parent group leaders, service users and carers from diverse backgrounds to flourish by working to create a psychologically safe environment.
• To ensure the conduct of research, service evaluation and audits relevant to the service and consistent with the Directorate, national and international research agendas
• To develop, maintain and expand the portfolio of high quality and effective programmes provided by CPCS supporting parents, children and families and workforces delivering services to them.
• To be develop standards for and take a lead in ensuring the good clinical governance, quality and appropriateness of the work of practitioners and parent group leaders in the service.

Qualifications

- To have undertaken a recognised qualification in one of the core mental health professions, e.g. psychiatric nursing, clinical psychology, medicine, social work and occupational therapy OR to have equivalent relevant experience and demonstrable competence to work in the mental health field in the NHS.
- Entry-level qualification in applied psychological therapy/mental health/social welfare profession or equivalent and demonstrable practice in this field (professional Doctorate, or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level/supervised practice/additional training) that has been accepted for the purposes of professional registration. - Completed training course in clinical supervision and/or accredited to supervise qualified psychological practitioners in relevant discipline. (A/I/R)
- Registered with / accredited by professional body as appropriate to discipline HCPC/APC/UKCP/BABCP/ADMP-UK/ACP. (A/I)
