Job overview

Are you an experienced Registered Mental Health Professional ( RMN, OT, Allied Health professional, Social worker) looking for a new challenge and to make a positive impact on mental health services and our local community.

An exciting  opportunity has arisen to join the Tameside Care Hub as the Living well - Primary Care Network ( PCN) Service lead , the post is responsible for the senior operational management and leadership for the PCN service line, which forms part of the living well system.

This post would be ideal for someone interested in Transforming Services to improve patient outcomes and improving staff experience.

Main duties of the job

To provide day-to-day operational management and leadership of Clinical Services within the Primary Care Network within the care hub.

To lead and support the  transformation of community mental health services, working in collaboration with other Living well system Leads, VCSE partners and PCN managers to develop new community pathways of care.

To ensure that services are safe, efficient and effective 24 hour/7daysper week by providing structure in operations and expertise in clinical management, this will involve inclusion in the senior management on call rota.

To be part of the Care hub Operational Management Team providing leadership and direction in the development and implementation of Clinical Governance structures, Clinical Care Pathways and assisting the Associate Director of Operations in ensuring high performing and quality care services are delivered.

Person specification

Education / Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • A relevant health or social care qualification at degree level or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory record of continuous professional development
  • Evidence of further formal management study and / or management qualification
Desirable criteria
  • Formal management / leadership qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Significant track record of employment at a senior operational level delivering services.
  • Considerable experience in operational leadership roles
  • Evidence of leading service change
  • Experience of working in partnerships with other organisations to deliver services
  • Experience of managing financial resources at a senior level
  • Experienced appraiser and supervisor of staff
  • Experience in both health and social care
  • Experience as a practising professional in a mental health environment
  • Experience of working to objectives and meeting deadlines
