Are you looking for a new challenge in developing your surgical skills in a fast paced Emergency surgical assessment unit? Is so, an opportunity has arisen to employ band 5 staff nurses on The Emergency Surgical Assessment Unit (ESAU) at The Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
ESAU is part of the Emergency care group. The unit consists of 15 beds for patients who require acute surgical investigations, nursing care and treatment. We see a wide variety of surgical emergencies from specialities including Vascular, Orthopaedics, Urology and General Surgery. We also have a week day ambulatory service where patients are referred from general practitioners and walk in centres for further investigations and management.
Applications are welcome from experienced surgical nurses or newly qualified nurses with an interest in surgery. The trust has a preceptorship programme in place.
