Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist inpatient and community mental health, learning disabilities, addiction services and acquired brain injury services for the people of Liverpool, Sefton and Kirkby, Merseyside.
We also provide community physical health services in Liverpool, Sefton, secure mental health services for the North West of England, the West Midlands and Wales and specialist learning disability services across Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside

Due to expansion within the Physical health team of the Local division mental health service , a post for the Modern Matron for Physical Health has become available. The post will lead on the continuous improvement of the physical health of our service users, with a special focus on the development of our Clozapine clinics and community service. The role will require a strong knowledge of physical health conditions experienced by the mental health population and advanced clinical skills to provide support and guidance to our staff around care planning and pathways for long term conditions. The role will require the operational management of those supporting this quality improvement and work inline with local and national guidance such as the Single Oversight Framework, NHS Standard contract and CQUIN to deliver on the best evidence based care. Advanced practice skills and Non Medical prescribing would be of a great advantage. We are looking for an outstanding professional with strong leadership skills and up to date continuing professional development. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have a keen patient centred focus representing Mersey Care's values.
