This includes adults’ and children’s accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women’s and children’s services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital.The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man.

The Trust also provides sexual health services for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton

We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible Advanced Theatre Practitioner’s with Urology scrub skills to join our busy, friendly Operating Theatres. The range of specialities at Southport & Ormskirk include General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Trauma, Urology,Gynaecology, ENT, Ophthalmics and Maternity

If you are keen to add to your existing theatre knowledge, and are committed to developing and enhancing the quality of care provided in the Operating Theatre environment, then this is the opportunity for you. The department provides a 24 hour emergency cover, therefore, there will be shift work, weekends, twilight shifts and on call commitment will be required.

As part of our commitment to student ODP's and Nurses, the post holder will be expected to participate in the orientation, supervision and training of junior staff and students.
