Job overview
We are seeking to recruit a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service In Norfolk and Waveney. This is an exciting new role for our teams, working across the CAMHS Service line which consists of Central CAMHS (Norwich), East CAMHS (Great Yarmouth and Waveney) and West CAMHS (Kings Lynn).

As the Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with the CAMHS Senior Nurse, Service Manager, and team managers. You will be a valued member of a multi-disciplinary team, whilst also working autonomously. You will provide senior clinical leadership to the teams and have an important role in the development and implementation of our services. You will provide supervision and have leadership responsibilities for the Clinical Nurse Specialists in each of our CAMHS teams. To enable this you will receive regular clinical supervision and supportive line management.
Main duties of the job
We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated mental health nurse who can role model nursing excellence, providing a high standard of direct care to patients and support to the clinical team. You will have experience of motivating and leading staff at all levels within a clinical environment to deliver high quality care. You would ideally be an experienced non-medical prescriber, or working towards this qualification.

- RMN or equivalent professional qualification
- Non-Medical Independent Prescriber
- masters level study or appropriate equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- Relevant management training/qualification
- CYP IAPT training

- Experience of clinical leadership of which has required the supervision and management of others
- Extensive experience of practice within clinical area with proven track record in delivering high quality care
- Experience of implementing evidence based practice and or service improvement initiative

- Experience of facilitation in groups
- Post qualifying experience in intensive support and/or crisis service or equivalent
Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to undertake specialist assessment at level appropriate to the role
