Job overview

We are looking for someone who is highly skilled, and experienced and either an allied health professional, registered social worker or registered nurse. 

We can offer you a key role working within an integrated health and social care leadership team.  You would operationally lead a portfolio of HARA (Harrogate and Rural Alliance) functions across neighborhood teams and intermediate care.

You will be working in  the Community Hub and ARCH as part of the  Harrogate and Rural Alliance. Working closely with our systems partners in friendly and supportive teams you will be encouraged to innovate and lead on service developments and improvements. 

Main duties of the job

This role will be responsible for the day to day management of a portfolio within the ARCH service across Harrogate Hospital and the community areas. The post holder will be responsible for leading the team to deliver high standards of patient centred care cost effectively.  Working closely with the Service Manager, Matron and AHP Professional Leads, the post holder will ensure the sustained delivery of key operational, performance and financial service targets. 

The post holder will line manage staff group comprising of  Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Multidisciplinary Assistants working in that portfolio and employed by HDFT.  They will need well developed interpersonal and communications skills to build strong working relationships across the system: primary and secondary care, and managers in partner provider organisation to enable collaborative working.

 A strong focus on change management and team development will be required to support the team as they develop new ways of working within the development of the HARA community Hub and the ARCH service.

The post holder will demonstrate an effective and adaptive style of leadership to support capacity planning, effective roster development and delivery, performance management and transformation of the ARCH service.

  • Professional degree or relevant equivalent experience

  • • Advanced ability to work across multi-disciplinary health and social care teams
  • • Experience of managing or working in community teams
  • • Recent experience of managing a clinical team
  • Extensive knowledge of National Discharge Policy
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant Health and Social Care Drivers
