We are looking for highly motivated Nursing Associates who have experience in an acute setting or previous experience working within an Emergency Department setting and wish to further develop their clinical and leadership skills.

Success applicants will be invited to an assessment centre whereby attendance in person is essential.

You should have a full NMC Registration as a Nursing Associate with a live pin.

Main duties of the job

The Nursing Associate (NA) will assist the nursing team in the delivery of direct care to patients within Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The NA will be required to provide care independently providing a holistic, high quality, patient focused, comprehensive, efficient and safe service for the patients cared for at Kettering General Hospital acting with responsibility, accountability and integrity as directed and delegated by the nurse in charge, including the delivery of care to meet a cohort of patients; admission and discharge processes, meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of patients; and will be included within the registered staff numbers.

This post works within a multidisciplinary team with registered and non-registered staff.

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nursing Associate with an active NMC pin
Desirable criteria
  • Practice supervisor qualification or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
  • Understanding of NMC Code of Conduct and Nursing Associate proficiency’s
  • Understanding of the importance of the promotion of health and well-being (Making Every Contact Count)
Desirable criteria
  • Understanding of evidence based practice
  • Evidence of recent work-based learning or self-directed learning

Skills
