An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 6 (Junior Sister) post on Becket Ward
Are you someone who wants to improve quality and help lead the team to provide outstanding patient care and to ensure that our patient experience is one of the best.
We are looking for a registered nurse who have experience in acute medicine or surgery who want a new challenge and have a passion to do things differently with a keen interest in Respiratory medicine.
You will be responsible for the assessment and implementation of care for acute admissions. You will help facilitate the running of the Respiratory service and optimising the care delivery in this area.
We are a 26 bedded unit and have six level one beds and have some of the most acutely unwell patients in the Hospital.
We are an extremely friendly and hardworking team and welcome all nurses from newly qualified through to senior staff nurses. We have recently successfully achieved our third green ward accreditation and are working towards achieving 'Best possible care status'. We are the first Hospital in the UK to be designated with pathway status and are very proud to be involved with this process, benchmarking the quality of care we are providing for our patients.
We have a network of support available to all our staff and offer extensive training and refresher courses.
If you are keen on developing yourself, we are currently focussed on quality improvement and offer training to help facilitate this. We are proud at Northampton General Hospital to help support band 6s in the development of their role and offer professional learning experience as part of this.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
