Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join our new Medical Day Case Unit at Newark hospital, providing a range of clinical procedures/infusions to medical patients in a day case setting. This unit is Nurse led, and it offers multiple opportunities to develop new skills and enhance on existing skills. 

 As a first-level Registered Nurse, your enthusiasm, forward thinking, and dedication to providing high-quality patient care will be highly valued.   • Well developed communication skills and time management

Qualifications/Academic/ Craft/Professional

Essential criteria
  • First Level Registered Nurse

Further Training

Desirable criteria
  • Cannulation and venepunture
  • Supporting students
  • AIMS
  • Completion of IV package inc. blood transfusion
  • Central venous access devices (CVAD)

Experience

Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working withinan acute care setting
  • Evidence of team working skills
  • Adaptable to meet service needs
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary nurse led environment
  • Ability to drive and have access to a car which can be used for work purposes.
