Staff Nurse
Band 5
Are you a experienced nurse committed to providing high quality patient care to all? Are you a newly qualified nurse?
Do you have an interest in delivering cancer care based on the latest research from within a large acute teaching trust?
If so, then we have a fantastic opportunity for you.
A position for a band 5 Staff Nurse has arisen on Toghill Ward, a regional Clinical haematology unit based at Nottingham City Hospital. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our team. Our JACIE accredited unit cares for patients from across the region undergoing treatment for and complications of their haematological cancer.
If you are looking for a new challenge, a position on Toghill ward will expand your knowledge base and clinical skills immensely. Full training will be provided on Intravenous administration and the care of central lines as well as the administration of chemotherapy amongst other skills. You will be involved in carrying out ambulatory chemotherapy treatment, and in the implementation of nurse led extended roles, to help develop and provide excellent care to our patients. We take pride in your professional development, and offer many opportunities for learning and skill improvement, including our Haematology Study Day run by our Clinical Education Team.
As a team we focus significantly on patient and public involvement and the feedback they give us in order to improve their experience as a whole at this vulnerable time. If successful, you will be part of a fantastic team that works together to achieve the greatest outcomes for our patients.
