Renal Staff Nurse

Band 5

 Renal Staff Nurse, Bramley Ward, Nottingham City Hospital.

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated band 5 nurses to join our renal unit team in Nottingham based on Bramley ward.

The renal unit currently includes a refurbished acute high dependency and transplant ward, a 20 bedded nephrology ward, and 4 Dialysis Units, 2 of which are based at the City Campus , one at the Kings Mill Centre at Mansfield and one at Ilkeston Community Hospital. The renal unit also oversees the Dialysis unit at Lings Bar Hospital which is run by an external company. This post is rotational.

Nottingham university hospital has direct links with Nottingham university, making post registration education very accesible.

The renal directorate is keen to encourage personal development with study days, mentorship , clinical supervision and preceptorship available in all areas of the department . For staff new to renal, we also offer a foundation programme which covers all the fundamentals of renal care and for staff with more than 18 months renal experience there is an advanced renal course.

Do you like caring for medical patients but miss caring for surgical patients or do you like caring for surgical patients but miss caring for medical patients. If you would like to work in an area with both surgical and medical patients, then renal is for you.

Do you like learning about the most up to date medical equipment? Within the renal environment we use medical devices that are up to date delivering the best treatments for our patients.
