As a key member of our operating theatre education team, the successful candidate will lead on simulation training initiatives. They will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create immersive learning experiences and enhance team dynamics through in-situ simulation opportunities.

Knowledge Requirements
Essential criteria
- Evidence of recent professional development
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of patient safety and clinical governance
Qualifications/Academic/Craft/Professional
Essential criteria
- 1st Level Registration (UK) Nurse/ODP -NMC or HCPC registered
- Formal Teaching & Assessing Qualification or work towards
Desirable criteria
- Resuscitation Council UK accredited instructor certificates for Advanced life support & EPLS or equivalent
Further Training
Essential criteria
- To work towards obtaining Resuscitation Council UK accredited instructor certificates, for Immediate Life Support Instructor and/or Paediatric Immediate Life Support.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of recent post Registration experience in perioperative environment
- Experience of teaching in the perioperative setting
- Experience of mentoring and assessing students and other health care theatre staff.
- Evidence of experience of work within Simulation training
- Evidence of experience of clinical audit
Contractual Requirements
Essential criteria
- Occupational health clearance
- Adherence to Trust Policies & Guidelines
- Flexible and adaptable to shift patterns, including, on call and out of hours
- Able to work across site at both KMH & NWK theatres
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
