Neonatal Unit Manager (Band 7)
We have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking, motivated, enthusiastic, patient focused Nurse manager, required for the Somerset Neonatal Intensive Care Unit based at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton part of Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
Applicants should be positively driven to promote outstanding family centred care and willing to strive for the highest clinical standards while leading a multi disciplinary team.
You must be able to take operational lead of the Unit whilst supporting junior team members and providing a high level of clinical expertise.
The successful candidate will have to show a commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and financial stability. You will be expected to use your expert clinical knowledge alongside your management and leadership skills to improve the working lives of staff and enhance patient experience.

Main duties of the job
You must be a registered nurse at Band 6 with a minimum of 2 years post QIS experience in an acute neonatal setting.
With excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise and manage a patient caseload and enjoy the challenge of such an exciting opportunity.
Whilst we can provide learning opportunities to support the candidate within the role, enhanced clinical skills are required for the clinical element of your role.
