Job overview

The multidisciplinary team at Sapphire Lodge are looking for a motivated individual to join our team who has a passion for working with young people and families.

Main duties of the job

Our team is multi-disciplinary and comprises of medics, nurses, health care support workers, psychologists, therapists, teachers, admin and support services who are committed to continued development and providing high quality care for young people and families.  The team adopts a model of collective leadership, where leadership is an expectation of all in the team. 

The successful applicant will join an experienced staff team to assist young people in exploring, understanding and managing their thoughts, feelings and emotions by offering a range of assessments and interventions. Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, the successful applicant will support the delivery of individually tailored care plans to meet each young person’s specific needs and contribute to the team formulation and assessment processes.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • RMN/RNLD
  • Teaching and Assessing qualification/Mentorship/Practice Assessor
Desirable criteria
  • Degree in relevant subject

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Post registration experience in mental health setting
  • Multi-disciplinary working
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of working with children and young people
  • Auditing clinical standards

Know

Essential criteria
  • Working knowledge of Mental Health Legislation
  • Risk assessment and management
  • Current CAMHS practice/issues, clinical interventions/strategies
