Job overview

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse Nurse to join our Elective Orthopaedic nursing team

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will have good communication skills and should have experience of working in an acute hospital setting ideally within an elective orthopaedic setting. We are looking for a committed team player who has high standards and is passionate about improving the patient experience. 

Elective orthopaedics cares for a variety of patients with complex conditions and needs that are undergoing elective orthopaedic surgery and require specialist skills and knowledge to aid and maximise their recovery.

  • Registered Nurse on the professional register

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in undertaking dressings
  • Has experience as registered nurse in an Acute hospital setting.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Is able to recount / discuss the requirements for high standard of care
  • Ability to use a computer

Aptitudes

  • Able to use own initiative.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and working autonomously
  • Good communication skills
