Job overview
Staff Nurse – Chest Clinic
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Chest Clinic team at King Edward VII Hospital, Windsor. We are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and continuously improving services for patients with respiratory conditions.
Working within a busy outpatient setting, you will support a range of respiratory specialty clinics, providing safe and effective clinical care alongside associated administrative duties. You will work closely with nursing, medical and multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure an excellent patient experience.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering high standards of care. Previous outpatient experience would be beneficial but is not essential. You will act as an advocate for patients, contribute to service improvement and support the Frimley Health and Care Future Strategy.
The role also includes supporting and mentoring junior staff, new team members and learners within the department.
This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week. The Chest Clinic operates Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 18:00.
We offer a comprehensive induction programme, professional development opportunities, formal study programmes and access to a range of in-house training courses.
This role is open to newly qualified nurses graduating in September 2026
Main duties of the job
- Support the senior nursing team in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, procedures and treatments tailored to patients' clinical needs.

- Ensure compliance with all Frimley Health and Chest Clinic policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines, including consent, chaperoning, COSHH, Information Governance and Infection Prevention and Control.
- Facilitate the safe, appropriate and timely discharge of patients following interventional procedures, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication.
- Provide patients and their carers with relevant information, education and public health advice regarding respiratory conditions, treatments and available services.
- Maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive patient records in accordance with local and national standards, digital strategies, Information Governance requirements and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
- Ensure the safe storage, stock control and rotation of medicines and clinical consumables within the department
