Clinical Supervisor
Band 6
Welcome to Swansea Bay University Health Board. We welcome applications from people who share our values: caring for each other, working together and always improving.
Swansea Bay University Health Board reserve the right to close this vacancy after 24 hours if a large number of suitable applications are received. Therefore we encourage early applications to ensure consideration for this post.
Prior consideration for this vacancy will be given to staff currently awaiting redeployment and we therefore reserve the right to withdraw this advert at any stage.
Applications may be submitted in Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
We are pleased to announce the opportunity to join the vaccination programme team at one of our three sites within SBUHB on either a fixed term contract or secondment until 30 November 2021.
Our three sites are based at Bay Field Mass Vaccination Centre (MVC), Margam Orangery and Canolfan Centre, Gorseinon.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals during the Covid pandemic, to support and provide the essential vaccines to the Swansea Bay Health Board community.
The successful candidates need to be experienced vaccinators to be able to undertake this role. The post will involve supervising / coordinating a team of vaccinators during the shift, supporting immunisers with immunisation queries and ensuring the correct amount of vaccines are drawn up to avoid wastage. The role also includes assessing clinical competencies against the Covid-19 Vaccinator Tool for new staff utilising the WIS (Welsh Immunisation Service) system, stock checking at the start and end of the day and record fridge temperatures.
If successful you would initially be supported into the role in the Bay Field MVC. There are currently 2 clinical supervisors per shift, one each at Margam and Gorseinon.
The present opening times are 08:00-20:30 daily at the Bay, Monday to Friday and five days opening at the other sites.
Please ensure you have agreement with your line manager prior to applying for secondment to ensure their support.
