Job overview

We are looking for a fully qualified Nursing Associate who is highly motivated to work in the outpatient department at the RVI and CRESTA with an interest in working within a variety of clinical specialities including Breast, Cardiology, Gynaecology, Gastroenterology, Neurology and many more. Joining the existing nursing team to support the smooth running of clinics and offering supportive care to patients who will have a multitude of physical health and wellbeing needs.

You will be enthusiastic and have a desire to develop your professional knowledge and skills, Phlebotomy and ECG are essential, be able to deliver care to the highest standard and have excellent communication skills. You should be competent in coordinating your day to day workload, able to manage your time effectively, work well as a team member and have excellent communication skills. This post is cross sites.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (or other registered care professional dependent on setting) with a focus on promoting health and independence
  • Exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • To contribute to all nursing care, providing care for people including those with complex needs.
  • To abide by the Trust policies and procedures
  • Have proficient attitudes and behaviours compatible with NHS Values
  • Work as part of a designated clinical and care team delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual
  • Carry out specific delegated clinical and care tasks and responsibilities to a high standard and competency, under the supervision of a registered nurse or other registered care professionals dependent on setting
  • Have the ability to work without direct supervision, at times delivering care independently in line with the individual’s defined plan of care, within the parameters of practice of the Nursing Associate role, accessing clinical and care advice when needed.
