Mental Health Practitioner (fixed term)

NHS AfC: Band 6

We’re a large NHS Mental Health Trust in South East England. We’re looking for people to help us provide high quality services for the patients, carers and local communities we serve.

We want patients and staff to recommend our organisation as a place where they would be happy for their friends and family to be treated. You can help us do this by bringing your skills, experience and commitment to Sussex Partnership.

We want patients and staff to recommend our organisation as a place where they would be happy for their friends and family to be treated. You can help us do this by bringing your skills, experience and commitment to Sussex Partnership.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Winchester and Test Valley CAMHS for a fixed-term Mental Health Practitioner position (maternity cover). This is for 2.5 days a week, working within an established multi-disciplinary team, covering a large area in one of the Hampshire CAMHS community teams.

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual who will be able to support the team with initial assessments and the ongoing management of risk and care planning for children and young people awaiting clinical interventions. The post-holder will liaise, where appropriate, with families, carers and the professional network. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a good level of autonomy, initiative and an ability to work with a range of different presenting needs. The post holder may be required to take on other identified responsibilities suitable for the banding.

This is a 2 1/2 day per week fixed-term post, through to 31/12/19

We regret that we are unable to advise candidates if they have not been shortlisted. If you have not heard from us within three weeks of the closing date please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
