QVH is a specialist NHS hospital providing life-changing reconstructive surgery, burns care and rehabilitation services for people across the South of England.

In addition to receiving tertiary referrals from across the South East of England, QVH is continuing to develop a network of ‘spoke’ sites at district general hospitals enabling our consultants to offer their expertise with routine treatments and consultations as close to close to patients’ homes as is possible.

Theatre Practitioner Band 6 

The Queen Victoria Hospital perioperative team pride ourselves on being supportive and friendly with a long history of clinical excellence. We are looking for individuals who are passionate and driven by patient centred care. At the QVH we strive for excellence and are in a position to support individuals with the same passion and driving force. There are positions available for anaesthetics and Scrub. 

As a specialist hospital we offer the following surgeries:-
• Major head and neck reconstructive surgery
• Maxillofacial Surgery
• Plastic Surgery including major reconstruction
• Hand surgery
• Ophthalmics, including corneal grafts
• Burns for reconstructive surgery 
• Trauma

Our ideal candidate will be cheerful, hardworking, quick to learn, flexible, adaptable, supportive of colleagues and a great team player.

Vision and leadership qualities are necessary to contribute to a safe, productive, efficient perioperative team. You will be required to support junior staff and students in enhancing their knowledge and skills within the department. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to develop their leadership skills further assisting the clinical specialist lead in leading a forward thinking team, striving to provide a high standard of care to patients. You will have excellent communication skills, be confident, motivated, independent and proactive in patient care and decision making skills. The speciality is a challenging and rewarding environment to work in, offers an exceptional opportunity to work within a dynamic and motivated multi-disciplinary team.
