Registering for an account:

How do I register for a trac.jobs account?

Go to apps.trac.jobs and use the ''Register for a new account'' button on the login page. You will need to enter your email address. An email will be sent to your email account containing a link, you will need to follow this link to verify your email address. When you follow the link you will be able to fill in your personal details and complete the registration process.

How do I log into my account?

Go to the log in page and enter your email address and password.

Go to the forgot your password page. Enter your email address and complete the verification process. An email will be sent to you with a link to follow to reset your password.

I have requested a password reset email but I haven''t received it.

It is possible that the email has been filtered to your junk / spam folder. For Gmail users, you may need to access your email account on a computer rather than a tablet or smart phone in order to view your spam folder.

If the reset password email is in your junk/spam folder, mark the email as ''not spam'', this will help to ensure emails are sent to your inbox in future.

We share an email address. Can we each have our own trac.jobs account under the same email address?

No, only one trac.jobs account can be registered per email address.

Many email providers offer free, web-based email accounts, for example; Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook.

Application process:

I have an ID check appointment booked that I need to cancel/ reschedule.

I am trying to log in to book an interview but I am getting a message saying ''email address not registered''.

You do not currently have an account registered with trac.jobs. You are receiving emails through the system because you have an application linked to your email address which was made on jobs.nhs.uk.

Please go to our registration page and enter your email address. An email will be sent to your email address containing a link to follow in order to complete the registration process.

Once you have completed the registration process you will be able to claim your application by entering some personal details in order to verify you identity. Once claimed, you will be able to book an interview on the system.

I am trying to log in to schedule an interview or ID check, I am asked to enter my date of birth and address and I am getting an error message saying the details are incorrect.

Some of the details on your application form don''t match the details you have entered in the claim verification process. Enter the details you put on your original application form in order to claim the application, and after claiming the application form go to your account ''Account details'' in the account menu and update any details as necessary.

How do I know that my application has been received?

You will be sent a confirmation email confirming your application has been submitted, it will be sent to the email address that your account is registered to.

How do I see jobs I have applied for?

Log in to your account at apps.trac.jobs and go to ''My applications'' in the main menu. Previous applications will be stored for a period of 400 days, after which they will be automatically deleted.

Can I make changes to my application after I have submitted it?

It is not possible to make changes to your application after it has been submitted. However, you can write and submit another application and withdraw your original.

I would like to be considered for any relevant positions, can I send my CV?

Trac is not a recruitment agency and your CV will not be considered. Please go to trac.jobs to view available vacancies and apply online using the online application process.

Account Settings:

How do I stop the jobs-by-email alerts?

Log on to your account at apps.trac.jobs, go to ''Jobs-by-Email'' in the main menu, select ''No'' under the ''Receive Jobs-by-Email alerts directly to your inbox about newly-added jobs?'' heading.

I am trying to make changes to my jobs-by-email alerts but the changes I make are not saving. 

You may experience problems when trying to update the jobs-by-email alerts if you are using a tablet computer or a smartphone, or if using an old version of Internet Explorer. Ensure you are using a computer and modern browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox.

How do I delete my account? 

Log on to your account at apps.trac.jobs, go to ''Account details'' in the main menu, use the ''Delete my account'' button.
